同傳是一份適合學霸的工作？
“翻譯是溝通的橋梁，我們的工作就是幫助人們溝通，”英語譯員王經文說，“并不是你說什么詞我就翻什么詞，因為講者的話有時候很混亂，有時候想藏一些或者有別的意有所指。而我們就需要根據具體情況，把混亂的話重新整理，沒有說完的話補充完整，以確保意思傳達的準確性、完整性和流暢性。”
“我覺得同傳是很適合學霸的工作。”楊婧說，“因為每場會議的主題和內容不同，而每次開會前準備的時間也很有限，所以需要你在短時間內迅速掌握某個陌生領域的基本知識，對學習能力的要求非常高。”而畢業于全球三大高級翻譯學院之一的英國巴斯大學的楊婧，顯然是一名學霸。她在本科時就聽說了巴斯大學的名號，對翻譯一行自然而然地產生了向往。通過努力，她如愿以償地進入了這所學校，并在畢業后成為了一名職業的英語譯員。由于她本科畢業于一所醫藥院校，她最擅長的也是醫藥類的翻譯。

“我非常喜歡同傳譯員的生活方式，”王經文說，“它意味著每天我都能接觸到全新的知識，得到新鮮的刺激。”為了不斷挑戰自我，各個領域的翻譯工作王經文都會積極應對，但作為一個游戲愛好者，他最大的夢想還是為自己喜愛的游戲公司翻譯。而經由他的努力，這一夢想已經實現了。他多次為暴雪、索尼等大型游戲公司的發布會翻譯，包括為一年一度的暴雪嘉年華直播做同傳，前不久的ChinaJoy上也有他忙碌的身影。他還向記者展示了《風暴英雄》制作人送他的游戲人物貼紙，以及他和《魔獸世界》設計師等游戲界大咖的合影。
楊婧與王經文都曾在公司內部做過口譯，但他們的企業內從業經歷都不如王瓊豐富。服裝設計專業出身的王瓊在畢業后進了一家日企，在公司的安排下前往日本接受了培訓?；貒笏Ｍ谡Z言水平上更進一步，于是辭職專攻日語，也從此踏上了日語翻譯的路。一開始她主要做的都是服裝制造和貿易公司的翻譯，而后跳槽到豐田旗下的廠家，開始接觸理工領域的翻譯，時常出差到各地的工廠做技術指導與培訓，或協助管理層的審查工作。積攢了六年的企業工作經驗后，她選擇進入自由市場繼續磨練自我，如今已有大約七年之久。
日本人說話的委婉曖昧對王瓊來說頗具挑戰性，“我們中國人相對比較率性，有話直說，但日本人很怕直接表達否定會傷到他人的面子。甚至日語里很多詞可以同時表達相反的意思，例如同一個詞可以表示‘好的，可以’，也可以表示‘好了，不要了’。這就需要按照上下文的意思來推斷講者真正想要傳遞的態度，也需要與講者加強溝通。”王瓊自豪地表示，她的翻譯質量是非常高的，每次工作后都能得到與會雙方的良好反響。因而她非常熱愛自己的工作，盡管辛苦，但也樂意堅持在這條路上走下去。
